Getting down and dirty isn’t just good for the soul

Rumour has had it for a while now that living in a sterile environment as a child can be a germsfactor in developing allergies, now researchers from Harvard Medical School have started to prove it, in mice anyway.  

Exposure to germs early in life helped lessen the bodies negative response to asthma and ulcerative colitis.  Unfortunately their study shows that exposure later in life does not help like it does during childhood.
