Dear fast food “restaurants”, Canada doesn’t need more salt!

 

It could easily be argued that Canada doesn’t need fast food restaurants at all but Canadians certainly don’t need salt in dietmore salt in their fast food than other countries. Why do Canadian dishes feature more salt? Read this article to learn more from this article in the Toronto Observer 

The average Canadian ingests 3 times the daily recommended intake of 2.3 grams of salt, this overconsumption can lead to premature death from heart disease and stroke.  It seems that Health Canada hasn’t managed to make any changes yet so it’s up to us to do it ourselves. (Source: The Global Mail)
